Nowadays, linker outreach is still one of the best content promotion tactics given that it doesn’t require tons of money to execute (it’s purely time-intensive).

Aside from being a cost-efficient technique, linker outreach provides great results in terms of acquiring editorial links through search and social that is mainly dependent on how the brand is perceived by the users and the quality of content being promoted to the community.

Brand monitoring

Brand signals are one of the most important factors for Google in determining which page/site deserves to rank in search results.

    How do you know that a particular website is your competitor website? Do you just randomly pick a website that’s working on the same niche as yours, and appoint it as your competitor? Sorry if this question comes out of the blue…but I really want to know.

      Hi Lem, it is important to understand your business first, Ask yourself, what do you primarily sell? Who is your target audience? Are you selling products/services to local or national customers? After you answered these questions, you can now do a Google search for your target head keyword (e.g. eyeglasses “London”) and see websites that are ranking for that specific phrase (tehy are more likely your competitors). You can be more specific with your search (e.g. eyeglasses for students “London”) to find your other primary competitors.

    Do anyone go for paid directory listing and classified ad submission? Is it worth having links in those high authority sites. I hope most of the people avoid these old techniques to get more visitors.
